Educator and Community Leader with 28 Years' Experience to Bring Vision and Passion to the District.

[Oklahoma City, OK - December 1, 2023] - Dana Meister, a respected educator and community leader with 28 years of experience, has declared her candidacy for the Oklahoma City School Board District 4 in the upcoming election on that takes place on February 13th, 2024.


“With all the attacks on education and educators from state leadership, we must put someone on the school board with the experience and knowledge to guide Oklahoma’s largest school district. I’m an educator. Education is what I do," said Meister.


Dana started her public education journey in Altus Public Schools, followed by Choctaw Junior High and Midwest City High School, where she was recognized as an Outstanding Teacher of the Year.


Beyond the classroom, Dana's commitment to the community is unwavering. Transitioning seamlessly from education to community leadership, Dana currently serves as the General Manager of Full Circle Bookstore, Oklahoma City's largest and oldest independent bookstore. Her dedication expanded to philanthropy and community engagement, organizing substantial book donations for causes. Dana has resided in Mesta Park with her husband, Harry, for over two decades.


As a candidate committed to listening to diverse voices and fostering collaborative solutions, Dana Meister embodies the essence of a passionate advocate for educational reform, community engagement, and the holistic development of Oklahoma City's youth.
